    I think the video was pretty funny. I think they created the video for the next year 1st graders because they probably wanted to help the next year children. This is help if you can’t read or have rouble reading. I think we can create a video that has to do with the school.

    I think the video was good for 1st graders. It was kind of funny though. I think the students made this video to help future 1st graders learn reading skills. In english 9 we could probably make a video about sentence structure and figurative language.

    I feel this video was pretty good for first graders.These first graders are pretty smart. Helping the other students was a woderful idea. We could create a vidio telling the new students what we do did and how to make it easier to learn

    I realy want to do it instead of doing work in class.they did it to help kids.to make them learn from it. a school tour video we could make a tour around the school video.

    I thought that the video was a good idea. The whole reason for these first graders to make the video was to share the different techniques in being a good reader. The video can help the other students by showing them some good ways to progress their reading. In English 9, the kind of video that we could make would be about the different types of sentace structures.

    how i feel about this video is i think that it will be very helpful to the 1st graders to there next class.the students created this for the students next year.this video could help the students next year by letting them know what they have to do.the kind of video we could create for english 9 to help students next year is the sentence structures because this is difficult at first but if we break it down for them then that will help them out a little.

    I feel that this video is a good way of helping other students for the next year they come to that school. That is why the students did this video. Also, the new students would learn how to read whenever they have a problem with a story. A video that we could create is telling the next 9th grade students about sentence stuctures and figurative languages such as idioms and similes,so that students can be more creative. This is so students won’t use the same old similes such as “She is as big as a house.”

    My feelings about the “How To Read” video for non-readers is that it was very good for such a young aged group of people that produced, directed, and acted out the script that they produced. The students created the video for the next year of first graders that was expected in the school to teach them to read. This could help them by teaching them as peers so that the teacher doesn’t talk over them. The new first graders probably feel more comfortable with another set of first graders teaching it to them. They feel that the other first graders are probably more related to them in some way. We could create a video for our next year about appositives, adverb clauses, and other things that relate to 9th grade English. We could make several videos for everything that we could learn in 9th grade about English. It could help them to learn easier, as a class, and faster and also be related to as another set of 9th graders is teaching them. We possibly could do that, too.

    My feelings about the video were that it was great and that I was amazed that first graders made and produced. I think that the students created the video for the whole point of teaching the students of next year how to read well. This video could help other students in reading strategies that are helpful to younger readers. Also a video that the english 9 students could create for next years students, my ideas would be for sentence structure, or figurative language.

    I actually liked the movie, they knew what they were saying and everyone looked involved and had fun. The students created the movie to teach next generations about importance of reading. This movie will help next years class to want to read and be just like them and knowing things like how to sound out words and remember what they read. I think we should do a sentence structure movie since we had such a hard problem, we could help out next years class, and hopefully they wont have such a hard time.

    I thought the video was cute and inrersting, interesting because I couldn’t believe they were olny in 1st grade, and cute because they are so little. The students made this video to show people how 1st graders learn to read. This video could help other student or people how to read. We could create a video about the things we are learning in class like how to create a book report or about sentences.

    Well personally I think that the video was okay. I really think that if our school english classes put together a video that it would be way better but thats my thought. The video was pretty impressive for a class first graders because when I was in first grade I probably couldn’t make a video. The students made the video about teaching other students about being a good reader. This video teaches kids about being a good reader. Well I like the idea about a sentence structure video. But no matter what the video is about I hope that it’s interesting.

    I liked the “how to read” video it was funny. I was actually surprised b/c the kids did a pritty good job on creating the video and writing the script. The students created the movie to talk about good reading skills and how to read. This video could help other students esp. 1st graders to help them read b/c for some kids that could be hard. For this class English 9 we could create a movie about sentence combining or simile’s and metaphors. Or we could make a movie about our English class to show to the students that come in after us.

    My feelings about the video is that for first graders that it was good. At first i thought it was going have a bunch of stick figures on paper and switching the drawings.
    I think they created this to show their createtivy for first graders.
    This can help other student that are about to go into the first. It would show them tha ways of reading.
    The viideo we could make is about methpors and similes.

    I enjoyed the two videos that I watched in class today. I enjoyed the videos because the people who were in the videos were kids,some were very young and others were my ages.I believe that the students created the video because they wanted to show what they had learned. I believe that these videos will help other students want to create there own videos.

    My feelings about the video was that i thought that it was very creative of the little first graders to do such a nice job on a video that was probably their first. It also looks like they worked very hard on what they produced. The students created the video to show you how they personally read and to teach other people that have trouble reading some techniques that will help them be a sucessful reader. This video could haelp other students being confident theat they could produce a movie like a 1st grade and or they could get some reading skills from them. The Kind of video that we could create the 9th graders that are coming into this school is maybe some sentence structure themes.

    I thought that the video was pretty cool. I liked the fact that somone could organize a group of first graders to make a film. To some people the film may have seemed mediocre, but the thing you have to remember is that it wasn’t produced by a Hollywood film crew like Miramax. It was produced by a first grade teacher and her class. So given the circumstances, the film was excellent.

    I think the video was very interesting. The students created this because they were trying to help other students in their grade.
    This video could help other student because when they are going from kindergarten to first grade it is usually a big transition. I think that our class should create a video on how to do a presentation.

    I thought the video was interesting how the children put together about promoting reading to schools and showing teachers how they could promote reading in their class.

    I thought the video was interesting. I think it would be helpful for 1st graders coming into school to see what other first graders do. Fo r incoming ninth graders we should make a movie on what we did in english 9. We should include the similes and metaphors and story elements to get them ready for what they are going to learn next year.

    I think that the students did a great job seeing as tey are first graders. the video was about reading good, what to do when reading, and the values of reading good. The 1st grade class each can read better and all have better writing skills because of how there teacher taught them, and now maybe teachers can do the same for their students. This video could help students by teaching them that reading can help u in many ways and that it is something essential that u need for later on, or all through your life. the class english 9 could create a video about writing for the students next year because reading is one thing but writing is a whole other thing. Almost ever person in high school is a great reader, but when the 9th graders come in next year to the school they will need to know some things about writing so when it comes to essaysthey willl be better and most of them should get 3’s or higher.

    I thought the how to read video was very good for first graders. The students created the video for the first graders next year so they know what to do. This could help the next years first grade studens by helping them to read. I think that our english class could create some sort of power point, or video to help next years 9th graders. :)

    I really enjoyed this video. I was surprised that 1st Grade students can create such a great video. I totally understand why they won an award. It would help many young kids. It told them different strategies on how to read effictively. Our english class could do a video on sentence structure to help students coming here next year because that is what we’ve been working on most of the year.

    I think this video was very interesting. I felt it very unordinary because they are 1st grade students and they can already read like teenagers. When i was little i couldnt even read like i could now! The students created the video to show other children their age how to read like they can. This video can help other students because it gives tips for other little readers to do for themselves. I think we could create a video about the different types of figurative language. We can teach them about appositives, participial phrases and other things of that nature.

    This video was really outstanding. I really liked the idea of how first graders made a video on good reading. The students created this wideo to inform viewers about what is good reading and what you need to do to become a good reader.This video could help other students by giving them courage to stand up in front of other people and speak. We could create a video on how to be a good listener.

    this vidoe was a wonderful way to teach others how to read and to show that you care about the future first graders reading education. the students created this video to teach the future first graders skills to help them become better readers.this video can help other students by it will give them skills on how to read and they can pass it on to other people/students.English 9 can create a video on figurative lanuage, adverb clause,
    appositives,and participial phrase since they are used in an everyday life.

    English nine can create a video that shows other freshman different sentence structures. Also we can make a video about figurative language.

    I though the video was clever. It was made by a horde of 1st graders, they deserve a boat load of credit. They made this video to help the next year 1st graders to read. This video has a lot of good strategies and they will help future 1st graders with reading. We could create a video that resembles this one, but with advanced strategies.

    um my feelings about the video are that the first graders were a little bit funny during the video. they wanted to show the next first graders how to read and how to pronounce words they didn’t. they also gave them some tips on how to read. i think the students created the video bkuz they wanted to show what they learned in first and wanted to let other kids who are younger than them what happens in first grade. this video could help other students them knowing what ahead of them in first grade. i think we could create in english 9 to help students next year is create a powerpoint of the stuff we learned theis year.

    I think the video would be really effective for students going into the first grade. It could help students in first grade by teaching them how to learn the basics in reading. I think we should teach the students aout similes, metaphors, and other things like that.We should also make it fun and effective so the kids will pay attention to it.

    My feelings towards the video how to read was a very nice video for a class of first graders to make i think they did a good job on coming up with diffent strategies on teaching non readers how to read. The students created the video to teach the non readers how to read and to show people that they know how to read.This video helps other students beacuse it will show them strategies on how to read.Our class could create a video on sentence structures,simile and metaphor,and adverb caluse to teach up coming 9th grader what we learned in english.

    I thought that the video,Good Readers was very good and organized for something being made by first grade students.It surprised me how good it was because usually things that are made by first grade students are pictures that are unrecognizable. The students made the movie so that the future students would know what they were going to do in the class. The video that the students made could make the incoming students more excited to come to school and learn how to read. We could make a video about what we learned this year including figurative language, story elements, plot structure, and everything that is still coming.

    I think this video is cool. For first graders they did a really, really good. The students created this video so that they can help the next fist grade class. This video could help other students because they give them good tips. They tell you to read faster so you do not sound like a robot or if you do not understand to go back and read it again. This class could creat a video about similes and metaphors to help the English 9 class mext year.

    The video was well made. The students got their point across that they have figured out many ways to learn to be better readers. This could help other people by teaching them to read at a younger age. We could posibly make a video on how new students could be prepared for the new criteria and posibly learn it earlier.

    first grade, I don’t think I could read then but in any case the learn to read video was a good idea. In fact, I believe we should create our own video on how to be a ST.Georges Hawk. This idea would be fun and exiting adventure.

    i thought this video was great and brave because i never thought a first grader will ever get in font of a camrea.students created this video because, so the first next year can see it and make a new one.this video can help other students by, not being scared infront of people and its a good thing to read.we can tell everybody u need reading your life and it every important.

    this video can help other students by teaching them the basics of reading and teaching the kids who made the video to read better and work together.

    a video that us as 9th graders could make could be about the different types of writing and things like adverb clauses, metaphors, nouns, participal phrase and all the other things that involve writing and reading.

    ~~The video makes me think how its amazing how little first graders know how to read so well, and know the process on becoming a good reader.
    ~~The students created the video so they can teach next year’s first graders how to become a good reader jsut like them!
    ~~This video could help other students(even older students) some things about reading that they dont know, for example, you should go back and re-read what you read if you dont understand it; dont mumble so you dont sound like a robot; and and to look at the pictures to help you understand the book more.
    ~~If we made a video to help students next year i think it should include on how you should never say the word “like” unless its in a simile. It should also include the different types of figurative language and how you can understand them wiht out having problems.

    The first graders did a good job on this film. The students created the video for the first graders that would be coming next year. it could give other students better stratagies for reading and comprehending what they have read. A vidoe that prepares the upcoming ninth graders for figurative languge by being sarcastic, for things like similies and metaphors, and the proper way to write sentences using adverb clauses.

    This video was a unique way for first graders to have a chance to contribute in the learning process. They most likely enjoyed this. They learned something as well teach the ones that come after them. They created this video to teach the next classes to come how to read. This could help the next students to come by letting them see that the older kids enjoy reading. So that would make them want to be a good reader, because they’ll think it’s cool. A video we could create for the next freshmen class could be about organization. Also, it could be about taking notes and paying attention because they’ll need that in this English class and also English classes to come.

    i think that the video was pretty interesting and informing for the short film by the first graders. they created this video to help explain stratigies to read and how to use them strategies.this video could help other students because the students can reconize th eproblem that they have at different points in reading so then they will know what to do in that situation.we could make a vieo abot sentence stuctures and how to use “like” only in similies!!!

    I think that the video was very good. I like how the chidlren made the video and they all were spokespersons and cinematographers in the film. This could help other students that have difficulty reading very complicated words. This video gives the viewers tips on how to improve your reading. We could make a video that talks about different sentence structures and intoduction and conclusion paragraphs.

    i liked the movie.i think it was cute how the kids made it like instead of people just talking about the way they are good readers

    The how to read video that was produced by the first graders was an interesting video. I liked how all the students knew what they had to do to be a good reader. The students created this video to teach the kids that come to that class after them about reading. This video could help other students by showing them the six main concepts on how to read. The kind of video we could create in English 9 is figuritave language. Similies, mataphors, and hyperboles are a main concepts in sentences. If we did a video on figurative language we could teach the students who come after us the proper use of similies, metaphors, and hyperboles from our prospective.

    I thought the video was cute. When I first saw that first graders made it I was shocked. The students created this video so that they student not year would have a way to learn reading. This video can help other student who dont kno how to read very well. I could help them figure out words they are not familar with.The english 9 student could make a video like this for next year student to help them read the way ninth graders read.

    My thoughts to this video are that I liked that the students did the video and not the teacher(s). Also I liked that the students did not just talk the whole time,they actually read and gave examples. The students created this vidoe for the first graders that come in next year will have reading tips. This video could help other students because, if they use these strategies like re-reading then it will help then understand better. We could create a video for english 9 that would be about taking good notes and good test taking strategies.

    The video was good. I liked the fact that it was all done by first graders and that the teachers did not interfere with any of the proceedings. The students created this video so that they could make it easier for the next first grade students as an introduction to reading. This could help other students by introducing the main skills that help students start to read. We could create a video that explains figurative language by putting something there and the having it change into something else. We could use that to explain metaphors. We could also explain similes with like and as posters.

    The video was very good. I enjoyed listening to the younger kids in first grade learn how to read.It was interesting how the first grade students worked together to make a film about reading.Its was also good to hear how younger children love to read. The students created the video to help other students understand how to pronounce words and basically how to read.This was an excellent idea to create a reading video because it could help teach other students how to read or practice reading.

    I felt that the kids did a good job with their production on this video. Although the whole time I was looking for the kids teeth. The students made this video to show people what good readers do and let people know that they are good readers. This video could help others students by letting them how to look for certain this that can make them a good reader. A video that explains all the different sentence structuers.

    -I think this video is pretty good. I mean for 1st graders, they did a very good job. Probably better than I would do.

    -I think that they created this video to encourage younger readers such as other 1st graders and kindergarteners to keep reading.

    -If you make the reading fun for the children, they are more likely to want to learn how to read.

    -A video that we could create in english class is one for each of the figurative language things. If we were to do one for hyperbole, we could have someone standing somewhere and have someone over top of them with stuffed animals and say “it’s raining cats and dogs!” or something fun like that. Then we coulld put other things in the video as well, using examples from the figurative language that we have learned about.

    I think the video is very educational.I think that the students created the video to give the first graders for next year some pointers on how to read.This video can help our students by reminding them of some of the simple tasks of reading.Our 9th grade class could make a video on figurative speach and sentence structure.

    The Good Readers video showed what good readers do while they’re reading a book or some other reading material. The video made me feel as if someone was helping the kids that can’t read very well, understand what good readers do and how to do it. I believe the students create the video because most kids do not know much on how to read and remember things too well. This video could help other students by showing them what good readers do and what it lookslike so maybe they could practice it. If we could do this in English 9 I believe we can do a lot on Figurative language and sentence structure.

    The reason why the students created the video was so that they can teach you what a good reader does. They also created so that they can teach the next years class how to read and how much fun it is.
    The way that this video can help other students is that it helps them to know what to do. It also gives you good tips on what to do and how to do it. It will help you to know how to read.
    The kind of video that our students could make is one that tells them about sentence sturcer or about the sentence that you will be doing or how to do it. We can also show them what you need to know and how to do it.

    -I think that it was good for the first graders to make a video to help other students.
    -They created the video to help other first graders to be good readers.
    -By giving them the active reading skills.
    -We could create an figuretive languge video to help them understand it more clearly.

    I think that the video was a good way to get young readers to learn basic reading strategies. I think that this video would not help older/experienced readers with their reading strategies. The students created the video to teach everyone what great readers do. This video can help other students because this video teaches them some basic skills that you can use when you come across a word you are unfamliar with. We can create a video that explains simlies, hyperboles, metaphors and personification.

    I think the video was great that some 1rst graders can make a video its great that they can read that well at that age. The students made the video to show how to use reading strategies. This video can help others that struggle to use reading tips. In Mr.Powell’s class we could make a video about things we learned. Things we can make a video about apposiitive phrases, teen driving.

    -When you first said that we were watching a movie with first graders i thought to myself why are us 9th graders going to learn something from a group of 1st graders.
    -The student had created the video so you can learn some good reading strategies.(Being a good reader)
    -This video can help other student when they are reading.
    -Us English 9 student can make a video on figurative language by telling the following 9th graders how they use figurative language everyday.

    I was laughing alittle after seeing the video, because the kids were so cute. And I also was happy for them because they tried so hard to do the video. The students created this video because they wanted to teach other kids to learn how to read. This video could help other kids by giving them different ways to learn how to read. The kind of video that can be created is one for every figurative language by showing the figurative language in a video.

    The students created this video to inform others of what things make you a good reader.

    This video can help other students because the students explain what things make you a good reader and why they make you a good reader. Then they show you how do do those things.

    I was amazed that a group of first graders made this video. It was actually pretty good. I know I wouldn’t have been able to make that good of a video at that age. The students created this video to teach other children effective stratagies for reading, but also it helped the students that made the video to remember good reading skills. This video would remind students of how to be a good reader. I think that we could create a video on figurative language.

    : What i feel about this this video is that its cute because they are trying to teach you how to be a good reader when we already know and i have a niece that is in 1st grade i was just imaging if she was in there …It is so cute.

    . I felt surprise that a class of 1st graders produced and directed a mimi video. Me as an older person is shy when it comes to getting in front of any type of video, I look up to them.

    . The students created the video to teach everyone what great readers do.

    . This video could help others by providing tips for other children to become great readers also.

    . As Jessica said we could create a video on all the metaphors, personification, simile, etc.

    My feelings about the video are that it was very helpful and useful. The video was edited very well and people any age can learn something. The students created “Good Readers” to inform the public that if 1st graders can read and use good strategies,then so can anybody else. This video could help other students because it gives great advice on how to read. In English 9 we can create a video to help students next year by using figurative language.

    -Feelings: I really liked that those little kids werent, or didnt seem nervous to be on camera.

    - The students created the video to show what characteristics a good reader has.

    - This could give other students tips even older kids could take the advice to become better readers.

    -We could create a video on he figuative language we have learned or we could make a video about something else we as a class have learned in english 9.
